Hello, and good evening. I hope this finds you well. Friendship has been a very elusive component in my life, and I can count on one hand how many deep friendships I have had in my life. I am hoping to find some deep, lasting friendships.

I am a U.S. Marine, enlisted from July 1998 to July 2002. I was stationed at Camp Pendleton, California. During my enlistment, I spent six months in Japan. Most of that was on Okinawa, while six weeks were spent near Mt. Fuji for cold weather training. While in the Marines, I had my first experience with role-playing games. I play extensively now. Role-playing games have helped me develop my creativity, as well as my writing and communication skills. Role-playing games provide an avenue for me to mentor others in numerous ways — in communication, problem-solving, peacemaking, writing, and mathematics.

In the past, I spent a lot of time as an automotive mechanic. I really enjoy getting to the core of a car’s problems, then making the repairs. After seventeen years incarcerated, I would need to return to school if I wanted to pursue this field.

Now, though, I believe I have found a new vocation. I want to be a writer. I have hundreds of detailed stories in my mind, and I want to use them as seeds for novels. Right now, I am working on a fantasy novel set in the nation of Sargava in the Pathfinder world of Golarion.

I enjoy anything outdoors: hunting, fishing, camping, hiking, simply sitting on the porch watching the sunset.

In the words of Tim McGraw, “I’m not as good as I want to be, but I’m better than I used to be.” Over the years of my incarceration, I have made every effort to become a better man than I once was.
