Broderick is 45 and incarcerated in the US (CA).
Behold, here I am! So, to my future lady friend, I took this time to become a part of the Wire of Hope family in the hopes to find you, someone who has such qualities as myself. Someone who is passionate, loving, caring, but most of all, someone who is understanding. Someone who is open-minded and who’s looking to share a warmth of conversation and willing to share one another’s feelings, theories, views, and beliefs on life, friendship, love, and the world as a whole. Someone who’s sincere and can respect realness.
For the record, I must make mention that I’ve made a series of bad decisions in my life that I am now paying the consequences for, but yet I don’t allow my current situation define me. What defines me is a changed man who takes full responsibility for his actions- a man who strives daily to become a better version of himself, as well as a more productive and liable citizen, a better role model for my family, friends and community.
As we all go on our own journeys in life and experience what life has to offer us, I’ve realized that experience is a jewel, but yet experience alone does not add value to life. It’s not necessarily experience that is valuable, it’s the insight people gain because of their experience. Reflective thinking turns experience into insight.
We should be careful to get out of an experience all the wisdom that is in it. An experience becomes valuable when it informs or equips us to meet new experiences. Reflective thinking helps to do that.
Respectfully,
Broderick York
