Charles is 53 and incarcerated in the US (WI).
Dear potential friend,
My name is Charles Jackson, I am an inmate currently housed in Wisconsin and I’m asking for your understanding as well as your consideration as I try to communicate the depth of my isolation and often loneliness.
I am in search of compassion. As a human being and an inmate who has changed his life, it doesn’t matter if you are married, involved or single seeing as how I am only expecting platonic friendship(s). There is no secrets or hidden agenda; a loyal friendship as advertised is all that I request.
I am more than the words that you are reading, irrespective of guard towers and razor wire, we are not all monsters, what I seek is charitable emotional support, something rarely shown and that is not accompanied by a price tag.
Due to my lengthy sentence and duration of incarceration, I have become somewhat of a pariah, but I am only human, a man who was once a frightened child who made a terrible, life-changing mistake. I believe God’s mercy is about repentance while the public’s view can and has at times been about bestowing punishment. I have been subjected to both. Besides, what is mercy if it leaves no room for redemption?
Please send all responses to the address provided in the contact information tab of my profile. All mail sent without a return address will be rejected by my facility’s mail room. The inclusion of email addresses and phone numbers is greatly appreciated.
I look forward to hearing from you my potential friend, be blessed and inspired.
