Now that I’ve got your attention, let me introduce myself. I’m Chris (though you can call me whatever you like, as long as it’s not something rude). Right now, I’m serving time in the Kentucky Department of Corrections—yep, I’ve made some bad choices, but I’m here working on better ones. Originally, I’m from Florida, but I grew up in Kentucky, and now, well, here I am, doing my time and making the best out of it.

Let’s be real—I wasn’t exactly born with a silver spoon in my mouth. I had my fair share of childhood trauma that messed with my head. But guess what? That’s not going to be my story forever. I’m not defined by my past, and I’m damn determined to do something amazing with my life when I get out. But until then, I’d love to talk, laugh, share a few stories, and maybe get some advice from someone who knows what it’s like to, well, not be in my shoes.

I keep busy in here—working out (because who doesn’t want to look good in orange?), taking classes, and even doing a bit of poetry. Oh, and I was part of the dog program for a while. Not to brag, but I’m basically the next Cesar Millan. I’m also an aspiring artist, which means I spend way too much time staring at walls thinking about my next masterpiece.

The best part about this whole experience? I’ve been forced to really dig deep and figure out who I am and who I want to be. The self-reflection game is strong. I’m eradicating the bad habits and growing the good ones—and yes, that includes making better decisions in the people I choose to hang out with… ahem you!
