My name is Christopher Lorch. I am a white male. I’ve been incarcerated since 2014. 2019 I got out of prison DOC and was immediately sent to the Florida civil commitment center on 2019 February 22 and been here since. It’s a civil center designed to treat mental illness of people who committed sex crime, due to lack of volitional control or are extremely violent, so they say. I’ve been classified as one of the violent ones, I was committed more due to my violent outburst than anything else. I’m generally a laid-back person, down to earth. I am a highly spiritual person yet I don’t go shoving my faith on anybody. I study all religions and love college. I’m graduating college from Blackstone career Institute in March this year and becoming a Certified Paralegal legal assistant. I love to play video games, my favorite games are “Dragon Age: Inquisition”, “Skyrim”, “Call of Duty”, “MW3”. I enjoy friendly banter and can be sarcastic in my responses, which is something I’m working on. I follow a code, protect women, children, elders and living by this code has often forced me to put my hands on people as that was at the time the only way I knew how to protect them. Since then, my prison experience and that of FCCC (Florida civil commitment center), I’ve learned to use my mind and found balance within myself. I am a helper, protector, a guardian to those I associate, love and am friends with. Ultimately, I believe right is right, wrong is wrong. I believe in finding truth absolute which is that fine line that all conflicting sides create. Truth may hurt, but if not listened to, ultimately it will lead to the degression, and I’m about progression. Everybody makes mistakes. I’ve made mine life is about learning from those mistakes.
