Dakota Munson

I am a 70-year-old divorced man who is seeking a friendship with a woman. I would like to correspond with an intelligent and caring person.
After growing up in a small midwestern town, I headed east, west, and then southeast to complete undergraduate and post-graduate degrees and training that led to my professional career as a licensed psychotherapist who provided individual, couples, marriage, and group therapy to children, adolescents, and adults. I also taught college courses in psychology and religion, my academic specialties.
Some of my personal interests include listening to and performing music, movies, plays, art galleries, concerts, travel (not so much now, but before and after!), learning and writing letters, comedy, blogs, and books. I sing and play musical instruments as a part of our church’s music team.
I am currently studying German and Spanish. I enjoy working out and staying in shape, keeping up with family and the amazing friendships I have made along the way, and attempting to contribute to society while incarcerated.
I am developing a five-part website that will feature comedy, music, legal, criminal justice, and penal-related blogs, psychology and mental health/illness blogs, and writings about religion and spirituality.
I will be coming up for parole later this year. I am encouraged by the strong support I am receiving from family and friends, because of the low percentage of prisoners that states release each year.
It would be wonderful to be a part of the outside world again, which I have greatly missed.
If I am released, I intend to work in one of a few vocational options I can pursue, including teaching college courses again. I will also be very interested in seeking much-needed American criminal justice and prison reform.
