My name is Devonta Guyton, and I appreciate you taking a moment to read my letter. I’m currently incarcerated, but I believe that even in difficult circumstances, real and meaningful connections can be made. While I’m currently incarcerated, I’ve used this time to dive into books and study personal development. That’s why I’m here to find someone I can talk to, grow with, and maybe even build something special with. I truly believe the best things in life are free. Like time. I’m 32 years old, I was born and raised on the west side of Chicago, Illinois. I’m a Gemini, I consider myself a thoughtful, loyal, and open-minded person who believes in growth, honesty, and second chances. I’m a man who’s confident, kind, and curious. Think of me as equal parts driven and down-to-earth. I run toward challenges, not away from them. I’m a mix of calm confidence and sarcastic humor. I believe in loyalty, long meaningful conversations, and not taking life too seriously. I believe loyalty is more attractive than looks. I’m always learning, growing, and showing up mentally for the people who matter. I enjoy music, reading, writing, and sometimes meditating. I also like working out, it keeps me both mentally and physically focus. Being in here has taught me a lot about who I am, who I want to be, and who I’m not going back to. I’m not perfect, but I’m always working on bettering myself mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. What I’m looking for is a sincere connection. Someone who’s understanding, open-hearted, and willing to get to know the real me beyond just my situation. If you’re emotionally mature, don’t take life too seriously, and can vibe with both deep talks and dumb jokes we’re probably a good match. I truly believe the way you treat others reflect on who you are on the inside. So I always stride to treat others with love & respect.
