24 year-old who has made mistakes and understands changes need to be made in order to take steps towards building a better future. That all starts with the people I surround myself with. While prison is where I’m at, it’s not who I am. I concentrate on improving myself and not on others’ expectations. Our society has produced such a mindset to be the wealthiest, the smartest, the prettiest, the best dressed, the funniest, or the strongest, and somewhere in there we have lost the ability to just be ourselves. I’m not the same kid who got sentenced 8 years ago. My struggles were my blessings, they gave me strength and an optimistic state of mind that kept me focused while maintaining my sanity in such a lonely place. Loneliness has become a part of my life, a life that is not forever, which is why I decided to join this site with hopes that would change. I believe things happen in mysterious ways and the person we spend our lives searching for can be in the place we are less likely to look, because life is about being brave, and taking chances.
