Hey there! I appreciate you giving my profile a visit. Oh gosh, where to begin? I am a former Marine Corps member now living in Montana. My marriage with my husband fell apart, and I fell into addiction to cope.

When I was convicted, the court saw I was a redeemable person who struggles with PTSD, anxiety, and chemical dependency and incarcerated me in the Montana State Hospital – Forensic (Criminal) Unit. I gotta say, it is a blessing being locked up at the “insane asylum” compared to prison. Hollywood and media portray these places with dark dramatizations and gross distortion of what actually goes down here.

It does have some headaches like any institution, but I have found it’s a decent place. I know I’ve changed and grown since being here. I am about to start correspondence college courses and work toward a bachelor’s so that I may pursue a career in advocacy for the mental health care system. My ambitions have even drawn me to learn several other languages, starting with French and German.

I thank you once again for considering writing to me or another inmate on this wonderful site. It gives us great hope in these places of monotony and isolation.

And I too want to get to know you and all your hopes and dreams. I am mostly looking for ongoing friendships but will welcome any type of connection, be it just casual small talk, a new friend, or a deeper, more meaningful bond.
