Over the years I’ve had to grow up faster than my years on this earth. Instead of being given the options to live an honest life, I’ve been forced to learn to survive. I’m getting out in a few months to absolutely nothing and no one, and I want a chance to stay out and free. To be able to get on my feet instead of having to do anything illegal or degrading. I’m asking for an opportunity to not have to do anything illegal for a roof over my head and food in my mouth. I want my goals to feel less like dreams and more like reality. I lost my mother recently and don’t want to disrespect her memory; I want to make her proud. I can’t keep being mad at the world if I’m given the option to finally live right. All I’m asking for is the opportunity to choose. I want to turn my pain into someone else’s strength and reasons to keep going. I hear all the time stories about people who got the chance to turn their life around. If it wasn’t for the chance that somebody gave them, they don’t know where they’d be, and I’m just praying that God finally answers my prayers and gives me the chance to be the one telling those truths to someone who has no hope and can’t see the light at the end of the tunnel. And not only the one speaking but also giving them the chance that I’ve asked you to give me to get on their feet. Please don’t judge me by my convictions before you get to know me, and see for yourself I’m not a bad person. If given the right opportunity, I can be a really good influence on changing lives of people who have no other options than surviving by any means necessary. My question to you is: can you help me change my life so that WE can help others change their lives and make the world a better place?
