To those of you that have taken the time to read what I have to say, I’d like to say thank you and I’m hoping we get to meet eventually. I’m a proud father, I’ve accomplished a few apprenticeships along the way and I’m currently enrolled in the Barber/Cosmetology School with goals of owning my own barber/salon/nail tech shop once I’m released in less than two years. I’ve been incarcerated to 2009 and I’m currently 40 years of age.
Many people come to prison with the chances of becoming a better person but choose not to take advantage of such opportunities and I refuse to be one of those statistical people. Not only will I be a positive productive individual in society this time around, I also have taken the time to come up a 501(c)(3) aimed at helping those that have dealt with addiction, families torn by the same and working with at risk youth along the way.
We’ve all come from different walks of life to get to where we are and will later arrive. I know that this doesn’t tell you a lot about me but if you get to know me you’ll learn much more. If you choose to make contact, please do so through CorrLinks because Pigeonly takes 4-6 months to get mail from and has caused potential friends to become discouraged. I can’t lie, I’d feel discouraged too if it took me that long to hear back from someone I’ve attempted contact with and maybe even feel rejected.
