First and foremost, I want you to know that I am truly innocent of my crimes and am truly a good attorney away from being a free man.

I spend a lot of my time writing; I love to write songs and write music to the songs. I learned how to play the bass guitar in prison and have actually played for seven different live bands in prison. It wasn’t that I was in such high demand, we just had a shortage of bass players (smile).

I try to be diverse and open-minded in all areas of life, as I am hopeful it shows in the songs I submitted with this profile.

As you probably already know, prison can be a very lonely place and honestly, it is very hard for me to find friends in here and I tend to believe it’s because I truly don’t belong in here.

When I’m thinking of words to a new song or just thinking about life, I love to walk or pace, it’s relaxing and gives me peace of mind.

I don’t know what to expect from this profile and I’ve been in prison for so long, I really don’t know if I’m talking about the right things or what I should be talking about. I’m just trying to be honest. I am hopeful that I’ll receive responses out of pity at least, just because I’m an old sap! (smile)

Have a great day and thanks for checking me out.

(verse 1)
Fifty years old living like I’m eighteen – knowing damb well it ain’t nothing but a smoke screen – silencing others due to their trespasses – taking my smoke screen, blowing smoke up people’s asses – don’t give a damb if they don’t like what I have to say – cuz I’m going to tell them what I think anyway – can’t find a friend within blood relatives – don’t quite get it but that’s how my blood lives – been abandoned by the life I chose – always a lone wolf, always a renegade, that’s just how my crazy ass life goes – My life goes:

(chorus)
Sweet things, young things, every time I turn around – getting all excited thinking that I’m love bound – easier to fall in love and harder to get over – all because this man’s getting older – can’t seem to keep my focus in just one place – cuz every time I turn around I see another pretty face – still half mean and a little less bolder – all because this man’s getting older.

(verse 2)
Tried the married life but didn’t seem to fit in – off I go dating, trying that route again – always open-minded with each and every try – don’t know if I’m with a girl or maybe some other guy – times are so different, ain’t what it used to be – when you open your eyes don’t know what you’ll see – yet I keep looking at all these pretty things – just passing my time to see what my life brings – been abandoned by the life I chose – always a lone wolf, always a renegade, that’s just how my crazy ass life goes – My life goes:

(repeat chorus)

(verse 3)
Spending my spare time playing mini golf and bass guitars – dreaming of a live band with lead and rhythm stars – tommy and bass drums snares and cymbal chime – all from a drummer who knows how to stay in time – been single oh so long – writing down the words to this brand new song – some words are shaky, even sounding kind of bad – remember it’s a song and not meant to make you mad – been abandoned by the life I chose – always a lone wolf, always a renegade, that’s just how my crazy ass life goes – My life goes:

(repeat chorus)

(ending)
Only one good thing I found about getting older – that means I have to be alive to still be getting older –

And I am getting older

(verse 1)
When life seems to knock you down, everything seems to go round and round, why don’t you try it this way.
This way doesn’t seem to make sense – got my life teetering on a fence – very few ups, so many downs, very few smiles, too many frowns – oh, why don’t you try it this way
This way hasn’t been kind to me – got me in a bind, can’t set myself free – suffering shows up day and night – don’t know how I’m supposed to win this fight – Oh, why don’t you try it this way
This way doesn’t seem to be working – every turn, troubles there lurking – two steps forward, seems to be okay – til you realize, that was yesterday – oh, why don’t you try it this way
This way has you sitting all alone – has you tired and weary to the bone – days and nights seem to drag along – got you writing life’s sad song – oh, why don’t you try it this way

(verse 2)
When life seems to knock you down – everything seems to go round and round – why don’t you try it this way
This way has you on your knees to pray – thanking God for each and every day – so many ups, no time to be down – so many smiles, no need to frown – oh, why don’t you try it this way
This ways been so kind to me – bound in God’s love that sets me free – Godly suffering brings great delight – showing His love and winning the fight – oh, why don’t you try it this way
This way has you doing good works – so little trouble, so many perks – every step forward brings the Light of Day – not even thinking about yesterday – oh, why don’t you try it this way
This way gives you wonderful friends – Godly treasures and not old trends – time seems to go by way too fast – waiting on life that will forever last – oh, why don’t you try it this way

(ending)
When life seems to knock you down – everything seems to go round and round – why don’t you try it this way – oh, why don’t you try it this way
