I love to crochet and am quite good at it. I have been moved several times to different states and even though I wasn’t accepted well during the first move (other inmates broke my hands so I couldn’t crochet), once my hands healed, I knitted beanies for any inmate who wanted one to keep them warm.
Through this ability, God has opened doors for me to be able to minister to those who are willing to hear while incarcerated and even crochet animals and prayer shawls for them to send to children at home.
I am faced daily with challenges that people on the outside couldn’t even imagine facing and I still press on. Some days are challenging, where I feel like giving up and giving in, but God, as faithful as can be, renews my faith and strength daily.
Please reach out to me. I need to know that people in the world haven’t forgotten about those who are incarcerated. I need to know people still care.
