My name is Alfredo Vega; I am an inmate confined at a correctional institution in Wisconsin. I have been confined in prison for 30 years, since 1994. Convicted for first degree intentional homicide and armed robbery. Although I’ve been in prison for 30 years, I currently do have an appeal pending in the Court of Appeals as we speak, challenging my conviction. I am 60 years old, born in New York City but raised in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. I am light-skinned with short brown hair and green eyes. I’m 5’8 and 180 lbs. I am currently hoping to find a penpal to correspond with from time to time and hopefully become good friends. It would be nice to have a civilized conversation with someone other than an inmate. I am divorced, I do have two kids, fully grown with kids of their own. I am Puerto Rican, I speak Spanish and English. I completed my 8th grade. I enjoy playing handball, swimming, and horseback riding. I do exercise 3 times a week. I attend the Native American religion services, which I enjoy doing. I also enjoy watching old classic movies, listening to jazz, R&B, hop-hop, Latin and classic rock music. I like to cook, clean, and eat pizza. I am understanding, fair, nonjudgmental, and very loyal to my friends and family. Unfortunately, throughout the years in prison, I lost most of my family and friends who passed away. I only have my kids, grandkids, and one sister and brother left.
I am not looking for a handout or gifts, only a penpal to write to. I am doing okay financially; the house, car, and some money I had was given to my kids. It’s just having some openminded lady friend to write to is what I am looking for. I am searching for a woman who is at an age between 54-64. She could be white, Latina, American Native or Asian, just someone who is open-minded, nonjudgmental, understanding, independent, strong, honest, and full of loyalty. Someone to talk to from time to time; a friend.
