Hi there, I like getting to know people, working out, playing sports, playing cards, dressing in stand-out clothing, and getting pictures taken, being outside on warm summer days, spending time with family and friends, listening to all kinds of music, especially rock and hip-hop, watching TV, cooking/eating, learning about reptiles, amphibians, and insects, working on diamond dots, drawings, puzzles, model vehicles, and a lot more. I’m funny and a fun guy to hang out with and get to know, I believe laughter is the best medicine.

I was scheduled to be released from prison in November 2021, but sadly, I was sent to Sand Ridge Secure Treatment Center because in prison I wasn’t able to get into my sex offender treatment program, and evaluators deemed me to be a violent sex offender. Because of my past and lack of treatment at the time, I was civilly committed under chapter 980 in March 2023, after losing my jury trial. Although Sand Ridge isn’t considered a prison, it is run exactly like a prison specifically for housing sex offenders not ready to be released into the community.

I’m currently in phase 2 of treatment now, I’ve passed 2 polygraphs, and I’m doing my best to stay out of trouble and work towards hopefully getting supervised release or discharge sometime next year. I’d like to someday open up my own reptile business called Wagner’s Reptiles and Exotics. I currently work in the kitchen, doing sanitation in the dish room, on tray line serving food, and I run ice to all the units twice a week. I’ve come a long way.

I’ve got certificates in entrepreneurship, financial literacy, serve safe, News4U, thinking for a change, cooking club, and the 5k run/walk. I’m also working on outdoor survival skills, t-shirt making, healthy sexuality, your social self, and role play.
