I hope that as you’re reading this, you feel the same anticipation I do while writing it. It’s difficult to stand out in a sea of look-alikes and this is true not just in prison but also in the free world. I’ll do my best to use my words to convey a well-rounded sense of who I am as a person.

I’m not a thug but a proud nerd. Having grown up in the streets mentally, I’m still on a healing journey, but it takes time, so I focus on writing. I write poetry, memoir, and journalism and songs. I’d enjoy teaching English overseas in a French-speaking country. Albeit that French is a language, which fascinates me.

I enjoy Indie rock such as Rainbow Kitten Surprise, St. Paul and The Broken Bones, and Noah Kahan. I also fancy the farm life, playing Call of Duty, and surfing the dark web. I am a charismatic people’s person. I love sharing space in a crowd, but also the intimacy of being one on one (an ambivert). Next to writing, my guitar is my daily meditation.

I spent the majority of my life traveling the foster care system. Because of this, I don’t have a solid support system so community is what I am in search of.

I am currently incarcerated due to an addiction, whether it be to money, drugs, or something else. Since being incarcerated, I have completed a bachelor’s degree and learned an important lesson: the opposite of addiction isn’t sobriety… it’s community.

Saying hello doesn’t mean you support my crime, but that you recognize that all rehabilitation starts with connections.

I lead with transparency, and I hope you do the same…
