Robert is 36 and incarcerated in the US (MI).
Made a mistake and now I have turned a short sentence into almost a decade. Now I’m in lock up trying to stay to myself so I don’t get into trouble. It’s so hard to spend day in and day out with no one to talk to. Nothing to do but sit here and wish so bad I had someone who would write to me, even if just once a week or once a month even. I’m a nice guy who grew up with drug addicted parents who left me with whoever while they did their thing. My parents introduced me to hard drugs at a young age. They are in prison now too. Recently my aunt came into my life and started making me realize that I don’t want to be in prison my whole life and I do have a chance at having a different life when I get out. I have something to look forward to for the first time since I got locked up. But I need to have someone to talk to and help make my time a little brighter. I want to have letters to look forward to. I want to learn about someone else and what is changing in the world and maybe help someone else who also needs someone to listen to what they’re going through. So please…write me, and let’s see what we learn about each other. Thank you.
