My revised memoir delves into my very determined self-rehabilitation through a process called neuroplasticity. It also examines the flawed process that earned me the death sentence. Happily, on August 10, 2023, United States District Court Judge vacated my death sentence. Although I remain housed on death row, as the government appeals the judgment in my case.
As you can imagine, living in prison can become unbearable without having someone on the outside that loves and cares for you. After 43 years of incarceration, most of my family and friends have become deceased. And sometimes I feel alone, adrift, and cut off from everything and everyone. I certainly can use human contact. Writing will help restore me, offering the experience of coming out of an emotional desert into an exciting whirlwind of expression and release.
