Hello, mate! Thanks a lot for taking the time to give my profile a read—I truly appreciate it! After thoughtful consideration, I decided to sign up with WoH because I’d love to meet some new people and perhaps form some lasting friendships with amazing people just like you. Prison can be a lonely place, but I’m sure it can feel the same way on the outside as well, right? Perhaps we can help each other!
About me: I’m a loyal and kind person and a good listener whose greatest joys in life are family, friends, Jesus, and music. Since I was a kid, I’ve been passionate about art and music and have recently realized a longstanding dream to learn guitar. Music helps me speak and feel when words aren’t enough. I’m an avid reader whose favorite authors include Stephen King, Gillian Flynn, and Nicholas Sparks. I also enjoy a good film: Twister is my all-time favorite. But don’t forget Walk to Remember and Lord of the Rings! Fitness is a way of life for me (yoga included). And of course, the Arkansas Razorbacks! Woo pig!
Since my incarceration, I’ve been to school for Paralegal and Criminal Law studies and am looking forward to returning to college soon. I’ve also become a peer mentor in a faith-based program at my unit.
I love to study foreign languages and have ventured into Russian and Afrikaans so far. (Language learning partner, anyone?)
All in all, I’m just a simple guy with big hopes and dreams despite my circumstances. But as a wise man from Shawshank once said: “at the end of the day it all boils down to two choices: get busy living or get busy dying.”
