Auston is 30 and incarcerated in the US (TX).
My name’s Auston. I grew up in East Texas, and I’m very much the stereotypical Texan. I have a strong southern accent, and my ideal attire is starched Cinch jeans and a pair of boots. I can listen to all types of music, but old country and red dirt country are my favorites. I consider myself very outgoing, and once my mind’s made up about something, it’s not easily changed. I credit those traits with helping me be successful in running my own business, mowing pastures and large commercial properties. When I wasn’t working, I enjoyed riding horses or four-wheelers, dancing, or just hanging out with friends.
The events that took place to put me here didn’t happen exactly how people said they did, in order to save face for them. That gave me a feeling of betrayal and like I got cheated. I have to fight to continue to be me and not let bitterness take away from my fun personality. I’ve used the situation to make me stronger, to be more patient, and to stay positive, trusting in God.
To help make good of a bad situation, I’ve been in college and will soon have my associate’s degree in business management. I hope to put that to good use in the future to offer my employees and customers an efficiently and effectively run business. I’ve also done several Bible studies to further my knowledge of my Lord and Savior. I work out regularly all week to stay healthy, fit, and good-looking. I plan to continue working diligently to improve my mind, body, and soul while never losing the real me.
