COVID QUARANTINE vS. SOLITARY CONFINEMENT: is there really a huge difference? Can you recall those feelings of anxiety and isolation you experienced, during quarantine, as the entire world lived in fear of a disease unlike anything we’ve seen before? Now, add an 8′ x 12′ concrete and steel tomb known, simply, as a cell. And subtract all of the amenities we take for granted, such as televisions, cell phones, and even microwaves… this is my current predicament! Far away from society, with very little to cling to. But optimistic, I remain! I still seek for reasons to flash my bright smile and be grateful for every day. Maybe you could be that beacon of light?
