Javon is 32 and incarcerated in the US (IL).
I believe that with the right perspective, time heals wounds. It took me a while to put myself on a site because of the shame that I felt because of my situation. But I’ve found that nothing worth having is meant to come easy. There’s more to my story than what’s on the surface, so I hope that you take the chance to get to know me in full. It has definitely been a journey. I can honestly say that through it all it’s been a huge blessing. One of the things I love to do is read. Reading has challenged my mind and my ability to reach new levels of thinking. Through reading and educating myself, I’ve been able to break. Through barriers that I’ve built over time from simply not knowing things. Also, I’ve become a fitness enthusiast. Fitness has changed my life big time. It has helped me develop dedication, discipline, and patience. I now embrace challenges. I’m a huge fan of music. It’s a part of me. I feel that music is the only thing that transcends time. It takes you to all sorts of places. A part of one of the songs that I like, which gave me hope at a dark time in my life says “Do you ever feel already buried deep, six feet under, scream but no one seems to hear a thing? Do you know that there’s still a chance for you? Cause there’s a spark from you. You just got to ignite the light and let it shine!” That line makes me smile. Well, this is just a brief description of who I am and hopefully I can share the rest of my story and also hear the story of someone who is willing to give me that opportunity. Thank you for your time.
