This is my first time in prison, and being in prison has taught me how to have a relationship with myself. And if I wouldn’t have learned how to have a personal relationship with myself, I would not be capable of having a relationship with someone else.

So, with that being said, I am free on the inside. That means inside the walls, inside my heart, and inside my mind. See, I may not be physically free, but that does not reduce the limitations of my freedom because my mind flies freely.

Now let’s go a little bit deeper about the nature of freedom itself. What is freedom? Is freedom the right to do whatever you want, or is it the American way of life that tricks people into believing that we are free when we are really oppressed?

Fucc it, let’s talk about all the influences in my life actively working against my freedom, such as being Black, my family’s genetic DNA, my specific heritage, and the intrusion of my soul’s sickness that binds me and keeps me locked up on the inside of myself because of the love I did not receive from my mom growing up.

I personally think freedom is the incremental process of good & evil situations that life throws at me to make decisions preparing me for the return of God.

Only God can judge & truly set free.

So, all in all, freedom is the process of the relationship I am having with God himself within myself, trying to defeat the demons that are roaming around on Earth.

P.S. A bird is not defined by being grounded from his limitations because it is honored by his ability to fly. Humans are not defined by our limitations either because we are defined by what it means to be created in the image of God. So, with that being said & you understand where I’m coming from. Hit me up.
