Joshua is 42 and incarcerated in the US (AZ).
I’m just looking for a friend. Someone I can trust. Maybe we can laugh and cry together. Someday open up my heart, share my dreams and desires with you. Music keeps me going. I listen to everything from country to rap. I play just about every sport. I love to exercise and sweat. Meditation and yoga have kept me nimble and humble. I love kids. I’m the father of a teenage son. We talk almost every day. He makes my world go round. I value honesty and loyalty above all else. I long to share myself with someone special. I’m very open-minded, not here to cast judgment on anyone. Sobriety means everything to me. I’ve been sober 5 years now. It’s been the best years of my life. I believe everything happens for a reason. I cant wait to meet you.
P.S. We can email back and forth on CorrLinks, but first please send me your email address so I can add you to my contact list. Thank you!

I just wanted to share a part of my life with you. I’ve been sober now going on 5 years. WOW!!!! It’s been the best years of my life, except for the day and year my son was born. He means the world to me. It’s only by the grace of GOD we still have a relationship and I get to watch him grow up and become a young man 🙂 HE IS MY HEART AND SOUL!!!! I hate the person drugs and alcohol turned me into. I never want to see that man again. I’ve made it my passion in life to stay sober, be the best dad I can be, and help those who struggle with addictions. I’m still writing my book. It’s much harder than it looks. I moved out west to the desert, Tucson Arizona. I’ve been spending much more time reading and writing. I’ve come to find, the more I read, the easier it is to write. I would like to start reaching out to some family and friends, and restore some relationships I’ve lost over time.
I want to dedicate this poem/rap to my son, jrJAY. You are my heart and soul!!! I am soooo proud of you!!! You inspire me to strive for greatness in this life.
SOBER DREAMS
living for the dream, incarcerations not my fate. time heals most wounds, I get wiser in my old age.
no debate, I’m living sober and I’m striving to be great. I’ve had it with addiction and I’ve learned from my conviction.
these restrictions motivate me now to alter my condition, become a better father to my son, make amends to my victims.
so sobriety’s priority, the enemy is drugs. the struggle here is real, I’m surrounded by these thugs.
took a shovel, dug deep now I’m climbing out this hole, lost control for a moment now I am focused on my goals.
damn the devil, stole it all through intoxicants and sins. all the nightmares and disasters to the demons trapped within.
now my patience draws thin, and I’m driven towards these dreams. succeed, released, madness cease, pain decreased.
no more drugs, I live with peace. and the best is yet to come, how I’m done with this disease, addictions they are real.
I will seize the strength to prosper casting doubts aside with ease.
please assist me in this battle share my story with someone you know.
my endeavors sever pain, once afflicted not conflicted I know life is not a game.
I’m dreaming of sobriety and freedom from this hell, from a prison cell to greatness here’s a story they can tell….
I’m still writing my story, it should be finished soon.
thanks sooooo much for your thoughts and prayers.
your friendship means so much to me….
