Hello! My name is Robert Shafer, my friends call me Bob. You may have seen me on a Netflix documentary, “I Am A Killer” (Season 1, Episode 8, “Hunted”), or, a Discovery ID documentary, “Evil Lives Here: The Killer Speaks” (released in October, 2023). If not, maybe you can watch. Full disclosure, this isn’t easy watching, I apologize in advance. I’m 54 (August 19). I’m incarcerated at Potosi Correctional Center in the Missouri DOC. I was rescued on April 30, 1990, more than 34 years ago. I’m serving LWoP (March, 2004), previously a death sentence (January, 1993 through March, 2004). I have a son, Diego (37), and a granddaughter, Hannah (3). I come from a large family, 10 siblings, and a large extended family, but sadly, and due to my own actions, I’m estranged from most of them. I’m a work in progress, I’ve worked hard to be and do better, growing from what I did on April 29, 1990, I’m better than I was yesterday, but not as good as I hope to be tomorrow and in the future. I’m an open book, you can ask me any and all questions you may have.
