Taylor Baldridge

Hey there! My name is Taylor. My mom named me after James Taylor. I’m 35 years old, and I have been incarcerated for 2.5 years on a drug trafficking charge. My first offense. I used to do music professionally; I play guitar and some piano. I was writing, producing, and engineering music and building my tiny house before I was arrested. During that time, I met some people who unfortunately led me down the wrong path. I know where I went wrong, and I have had a long time to think about it. I have almost done two-thirds of my time now, if I get parole as expected.

I am looking forward to changing my life and beginning a new chapter. I plan to set off on a new career path building tiny houses. I built the one I was living in before I was arrested, and it was pretty special, if I say so myself. And others have told me how beautiful it turned out. I know I can do it, and through a new relationship I have with God, I will make it happen.

I am many things: a musician, a craftsman, a son to an amazing mother, a father (of an incredible 16-year-old young man who is a musician himself now), a writer, and a man who had to come here to find myself and God. I refuse to be defined by this experience. It is just a learning curve I am on, and I am learning a lot about myself.

I was hoping to find a connection with someone nice to talk to. I have never had a pen pal before, so I figured why not, let’s give it a shot. It gets pretty lonely in here, and a real conversation would be appreciated. God bless, and I hope to have a conversation with you soon.
