I wish I knew what to say to make you want to befriend me. I would write it in bold, capital, colorful letters.

I’ve been on several pen-pal websites anxiously awaiting someone’s correspondence. I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong. I know I’m not the best at composing a letter, nor am I the sexiest man alive, but I do have qualities and attributes that I am willing to share. I would share a few things now, but what would me writing them prove?

The fact of the matter is, we’d both be taking a chance personally. I’m willing to do just that. I truly believe that there’s no reward without risk. That’s mainly why I’m still seeking.

I’ve also failed to express myself wholeheartedly. I’ve been incarcerated for 21 years, and to say that I’m lonely is an understatement. I yearn for friendship with someone unique. I say unique because if you’re willing to accept someone’s flaws and faults while in a predicament such as this, you are unique and definitely deserve to be acknowledged for your benevolence.

If you’re willing to give me that chance, not only will I cherish the friendship that will eventually manifest itself, you’d never have to worry about deceit, manipulation, or disrespect. My only desire is to build something genuine.
