Who you are today is not the person you were 11 years ago, and neither am I. So why should we allow 60 seconds of anyone’s life to determine their next 60 years?
To be transparent, when I was 25, I was selfish, inconsiderate, reckless, irresponsible, and a criminal. I lacked vision and a direction for my life. Sadly, out of spite, someone crossed me, and I took a drastic step in response. In no way am I justifying my actions; I’m just trying to provide a glimpse into my past so that when we meet, you can believe in my growth in the present. Many years ago, my family abandoned me, but instead of falling into despair, I invested my time in prison grasping responsibility for the events that led me here… As my understanding grew, so did my remorse. I’ve acquired a bunch of accolades and skills, including a business degree, but I look forward to repaying my debt to society in full.
I’m getting out soon and looking for the right woman to continue my life with. I would like to complement someone compassionate enough to forgive my humanity. Hopefully, the right person is reading this at the right time 🙂
