About me: sexagenarian widower; retired USAF master sergeant; would’ve / could’ve / should’ve – been model photographer; lonely, seeking friendship first and foremost, then perhaps companionship and maybe even eventually love, with single adult women who are also lonely and seeking the same. A famous British poet wrote, “No man is an island entire of itself; every man is a piece of the continent, a part of the main.” In other words, we weren’t meant to be alone! The Bible tells us that before God made woman, He determined, “It is not good for man to be alone; I will make a fitting helper for him.” (Gen 2:18). In Hebrew, a more literal translation would be “I will make a help[er] / aid[e] as his “counterpart,” or mate. Note that a “counterpart” is not superior nor subordinate, but “equal.” I have felt alone since my wife passed in 2015 and I am searching for such “counterparts” with whom I can exchange thoughts, feelings, ideas, dreams and fantasies on equal footing, without judgment.
