Hello friends,
I’ve been incarcerated for 36 years. I spent 18 of those years on death row for killing a woman inside of her own home.
I was sentenced to death in 1989. I’ve dealt with it the best I could. I kept my mind occupied by reading books and magazines which I still do.
I’ve thought about Ms. Jolivet just about every day, I really hate myself for what I have done. I can’t make any excuses so I’ve accepted faults and doing my time day by day. Some days are good, some days are bad but I cope with it.
I no longer have family members, they have passed away, I have 3 great nephews somewhere, I don’t know their whereabouts. I have maybe 6 people that I write which I really cherished. Receiving mail from people really helps me a great deal.
Even though I’m not getting out, I keep a positive attitude. I don’t want to be known as a killer, I just don’t see myself as one. Hopefully people can judge me by who I am now, not the old me, maybe through the documentary on Netflix. I know I owe society so I’m paying for all I’ve done. If God can forgive, hopefully you can too.
