Michael is 33 and incarcerated in the US (PA).
I would like to start by saying thank you for taking the time to learn a little about me. Hopefully you find something that piques your interest and there will be time to share more.
The first thing I would like to share about myself is I am a proud veteran of the U.S. Army. In the Army we train to grow and better ourselves each day. Even though I am incarcerated I still live by those values. I am a very family-oriented person. I speak with my parents and sister as much as possible. Their love and support help me though the tougher times.
I try to keep as busy as possible here. During my time I became a certified peer specialist, where I help other inmates deal and cope with mental illness and other issues. I also work with other incarcerated veterans. In my free time I work out and play sports. I also like to draw and tattoo. I enjoy reading and try to educate myself as much as possible. Prior to my incarceration I obtained a business degree, and my goal is to get another degree.
I’ve made a mistake that led me to prison. I choose not to let that mistake define me and bring me down. Instead, I’ve chosen to try and better myself as a man, grow as a person and even try and help others.
I really appreciate you taking the time to read this and I hope to hear from you soon.
