Hi, I’m Bret Ketsavannasané. My full name is a lot longer than that but my friends just call me Bret. I’m originally from Savannakhet, a border town between Laos and Thailand. Mostly, I grew up in America, in a few different places. I’ll tell you more about that in due time.

I’ve been in prison for nearly 29 years now and will be going home soon due to some changes in the law. God willing. Yes. I am a spiritual person, believing in the cosmic order of things, like when you do good, good things will come your way. I’m also understanding of the necessity of necessary evil. I’m a balanced person. I’m a bit crazy, yet not too crazy, just the right amount of wrong. (winks) (giggles)

I’m into Muay Thai kickboxing, golf, cross-fit workouts, and occasionally other sports- I’m very active! I like listening to music of all kinds like hip-hop, gangsta rap, sexy R&B, reggaeton, house/trance, country, anything with lyrics and good beats to dance to, since I like to dance. I like doing tattoo arts and enjoy reading books of all genres. Mostly I like the Jack Reacher series by Lee Child, because his character reminds me of me, an asshole with a good heart. (giggles) I enjoy watching action movies and rom-coms. I like to laugh and make other people laugh. I think I’m pretty funny… in my mind! (laughs) Warning: Not a professional comedian!

I’m a full-time student of College of the Redwoods (prison program). I’m very interested in furthering my education so I can re-enter society as a productive member. Now, I’d like to know about you, what makes you happy, what makes you sad, your dreams, your hopes, what you’re looking for in life.
