Dwone is 49 and incarcerated in the US (TX).
Hi, thank you for the look. I’ve always believed that it takes a special kind of person to understand that incarcerated people are still a part of the human family. The fact that you are even reading this at all is an open testimonial of your uniqueness. Especially in a world where empathy and compassion for others are such short demand.
Life is full of possibilities, and after 26 years of incarceration, one learns to be optimistic. Optimism itself was the catalyst which convinced me that there is someone out there who will be interested in getting to know a man who has been thoroughly vetted by life’s hardships. One who knows his own mind, and has the confidence which stems from experience, to embark upon that journey into what has the potential to become a beautiful reality.
I am such a man, but also one who loves to read, write and teach others. But most of all, I like to learn new things which inspire in mankind material in which dreams are made of. On the most basic level, I am a deep thinker, but also a realist who understands that life is not a baseless undertaking, but an evolution of thought. One where each individual has room to visualize success and work towards it even while making adjustments on the fly. A system of ideals, and working methodologies, used in preparing for our futures, whatever that future may ultimately turn out to be.
During my residency, I have had the good fortune to obtain an A.A.S. degree in Business Management, and have become quite computer-literate. Also, I have developed a love and skill for auto-mechanics, and baking. I am a person who believes that there is power in prayer, and adhere to this principle a minimum of five times a day. Yet still I search for completeness. It is a road which I have travelled, for quite a long time. One in which I have obtained peace of mind. Learned the value of dedication., loyalty and a sense of purpose. I understand responsibility, and willingly accept it, but completeness? Completeness I have yet to find. SMH!
