Hi my name is Norman Michael Vega, I am genuine, honest and seek that compatibility in others. I try to always put myself in others shoes so I like to think that I’m compassionate and an understanding person. Family is important but I don’t believe family is exclusive to relatives only. I believe loyalty makes you family. I’m also big on honesty and trust and take pride in those same values. While I may be single, I have a beautiful and amazing 13-year-old daughter who means the world to me. Despite the circumstances, I continue to do everything within my means to be a presence in her life. I am currently incarcerated in the State Correctional Institution of Houtzdale, Houtzdale, Pennsylvania. I was wrongfully convicted in 2018 of committing a murder I had no role in. I was sentenced to life without the possibility of parole. That may seem scary and discouraging but in a case wrought with prosecution misconduct and the “disappearance’ and withholding of evidence that by law should have been handed over to the defense -there is a glimmering light at the end of the tunnel that is getting brighter and brighter. It’s been difficult but I continue to push forward in proving my innocence. Dealing with my circumstances first hand has helped me lean towards advocacy work for those wrongfully convicted. While contributing behind the wall, I’ve learned that I cannot continue fighting for my innocence/freedom in an unbalanced justice system through conventional means. I recently started an Instagram page; @TheVegaTrials, sorta as an introduction to a website I plan on having up soon -all dedicated towards bringing awareness to my case and cause. I’m open to advise and/or thoughts on the subject. While I continue to work on proving my innocence, I keep busy by studying entrepreneurship and real estate which happens to be my passion.
