Hey ladies, my name is Youssoupha Jadama. Those I’m well acquainted with know me as “Benji.” Reaching out to men and women on this platform is something I know I will enjoy. It will not only help me pass time but also help me better myself and better those I meet.
Meeting new people and socializing is something I find very exciting, especially when the world revolves around it. I am a very social and open-minded individual. I love motivating and making others laugh and smile. I also enjoy having constructive and meaningful conversations, which may lead to answers one’s been searching for. I’ve always been told I have a lot of potential, and I’m very ambitious, which I can agree with; maybe it’s because I’m young and always willing to learn from others.
I have goals I plan on accomplishing once my dues to society are fulfilled, which is not too much longer. School and building my brand/business are something I plan on focusing on to establish a foundation upon my release. I also plan on furthering my music career, which I have a deep passion for. A great personality trait I believe I have is humility, growing up in an impoverished environment where there’s not many resources. And many never make it out. This alone has taught me a lot and has given me a different perspective on life altogether.
Remaining humble yet determined to become better is a prophecy I believe everyone needs, no matter how successful you become. I’m also big on energy, and staying positive is something I’ve developed into a habit. Having a sense of humor also makes life easier and sometimes fun.
Since being incarcerated, I have begun and continue to work on myself in every aspect. I guess it’s safe to say I have substituted my old and bad habits for new healthy positive habits/hobbies. Staying consistent has helped me remain disciplined and determined to accomplish all my goals.
