Wesley is 45 and incarcerated in the US (OR).

Things in life always have a set meaning and in most instances, a teachable moment. If I was being real these logics have evaded me for the past 44 years. Some learn easily while others find comfort in the struggle. For me, since being incarcerated I have chosen to step outside of my comfort zone to find this change. Separating myself from people of the past has allowed me the ability to rid myself from any anger, unhealthy love or hope for things to come out of bad situations. Moving forward has been a blessing given to me. A clean slate doesn’t mean I don’t get lonely or still hold hope for better things.
With all that being said, I have utilized my time in prison to better my life in many ways and in ways that will impact my future. I go to college through Chemeketa Community to get my associate’s degree. I have 45 credits towards my 90 needed. When I’m not at school I am studying or usually typing up my papers. I go to work at 4:00 a.m., get back to the prison around 10:00 a.m. Around noon I go to education to get my work done, then work out from 2:00–3:00. Have little social time in here and thought it would be nice to meet some new friends.
I may look a certain way at first glance, but I really am a teddy bear. Huge heart, lots of hope and stand firm on integrity and loyalty.
I am someone you can count on, talk to and very easily develop a friendship with. Been through a lot, seen a lot and stand steady in my belief there is something out there for me.
You can email me by registering onto GettingOut.com. If you write, the rules here are 20lb paper or less, white envelopes only inside and out. I look forward to further dialogue in the near future.
Respectfully,
Wesley
