Greetings! My name is Derrick Barber. I’m looking forward to meeting new people and making new friends. I’ve been incarcerated for over 17 years. With little to no connection to the free world. I pray every day that I will receive a letter or email, so that I don’t feel so alone, lost or separated from the outside world. Sadly, I hardly ever do receive anything. Having a good woman friend would give me hope that someone is still willing to make a connection with me without judging me by my past.

I’ve worked hard improving the man that I am mentally, physically and spiritually, so that I can prove to the world and myself that my past actions don’t define who I am today. I have a great sense humor, spirit and good heart. I’d love to start a friendship with a good woman to show that I’m not a lost soul and forgotten in prison. It’s harder to do time without a connection to share my inner most thoughts, goals, dreams or to just share a laugh with. I hope you can open your heart to give me a chance. I’d love to meet you and get to know someone that believes in me.

You can sign up at ConnectNetwork.com so that we can email one another. My calls are free as well. I can’t wait to meet you. Stay safe, much respect and blessings to you.

What is love? What is it so important?
How do you, nurture and make it last?

Love is the source of strength
Love is the source of reality
Love is the source of unity
Love is the source of the future
Love is the source of passion
Love is the source of sharing
Love is the source of success
Love is the source of life
Love is the strongest, most complete and fulfilling emotion possible. It lets you share your goals, your desires, your experiences. It lets you share your life with someone. It lets you be yourself with someone who will always support you. It lets you speak your inner most feelings to someone who understands you. It lets you feel tenderness and warmth and a wholeness that avoids loneliness. Love lets you feel complete. If you commit yourself to love and being loved, love can last forever if you both want it to and I do!

That’s why I will always choose to love.
