Vernon is 34 and incarcerated in the US (MN).
Hello, my name is Vernon. First, I’d like to say hi and thank you for your time and energy. I appreciate you as a person because I know it takes a special kind of person to want to give someone in my position a chance. I’m confident that I can and will surprise you with the depth of my character. I have a wide range of interests and love learning and growing in that regard.
I am a Native American man. I’m 6 feet 2 inches tall, and right now, I am 185 pounds. I just turned 34, so I guess I’m supposed to be mature by now. I guess we’ll see. I am pretty close to my culture but have adopted an even more pagan belief. I love to play basketball and soccer, and I enjoy watching sports in general. Reading and writing, watching my favorite shows and movies are also some of my interests. I tend to lean towards more fantasy and Sci-Fi stuff. I’ve written some pretty good poems and short stories and have this crazy dream of writing my own fantasy series of books. You know, like the ones they make movies about. Well, I did say I was into fantasy. As I’ve said, I do like a lot of things, though. I’ve recently begun to play the drums and realized that I’m actually pretty good. I want to get out and play in a band, tattoo, play role-playing games, and do a bunch of fun stuff.
I just want to meet some good people with whom I can build meaningful relationships. I’m a very open-minded person. I have friends of many cultures, races, sexual orientations, and genders. So, that’s me.
I look forward to hearing from you and hope you have a great day.
Always,
Vernon
The path of the lonely soul
There is danger down the path of the lonely soul
Where darkness reigns, alongside flames of pain
Scorched from an internal burn
Nothing lives on in this eternal urn
This is the danger that of which is only cold
Thoughts are scattered, as the ashes of life wane
Drained of all remembrances
Drowned in infernal semblances
Hence the danger of the path of the lonely soul
Where darkness feigns a truth to attain
Light blinds the eyes are hidden
Lying in wait to be forbidden
Unseen, the danger down the path of the lonely soul
Where nothing lies, but torrential cries
Unheard are the pleas of reason
Forgotten not, and unforgiven
There is danger down the path of the lonely soul
Where darkness reigns
Fading on into eternity
I wrote this to expel that feeling of loneliness and the pain that comes with it. A lot of what I write derives from personal experiences, so I like to pour my personal energy into my work. Which I do in anything I do on a daily basis. I write when the time is right. I draw when I’m drawn to it. Everybody feels a little lonely sometimes and it’s OK. It’s how we respond to that feeling is the real test. So, coming from someone who knows these feelings all too well, I strive to overcome the potentialities of what they represent, and the mental health that accompanies them. I hope these words can help someone through at least one day, because they have for me. I’m just a lonely soul, waiting for a light. Be well and blessed be.
